Hershey Kissed Brownie Bites-the perfect addition to any Holiday baking.
I’m so excited today! It’s the day! I’m starting to feel a little like Jonathan Lipnicki in the Stuart Little movie when he talks about today being the day. We may have watched that movie recently. But I’m still excited, and today is still the day!
I was thrilled to be invited to partner with several fellow bloggers, Hershey’s Kisses Chocolates and Reeses to bake some amazing holiday treats.
You know me. Bake with candy, um, yeah, I can do that. I already do. Um, I have to use Hershey’s Kisses Chocolates and Reese’s peanut Butter Cups? Um, apparently someone’s been peeking at my candy stash again. These are staples in my house, I stock up an all the varieties. I claim it’s for baking purposes but we all know the truth. I might be sitting here, typing this with a bowl of Mini Reese’s Cups right in front of me. (Just for inspirational purposes.) Yeah, let’s go with that, it helps my creative juices to flow better, having them in front of me.
I must have been creative last week when the bowl had the peppermint Hershey’s Kisses Chocolates in it. Have you tried those yet? OMG! I’m not a big candy cane eater. But don’t even think Candy Canes when you get your hands on those Kisses. Think, melt in your mouth peppermint white chocolate.
They might be just slightly addicting. And I might have had to hide them from my son so I’d have enough for this recipe. It was for his own good, really. Too many sweets, blah, blah, blah. Truth is, don’t mess with the chocolate Mama has decided is hers.
Yes, those peppermint Kisses became mine!
I did control myself enough to use some of them for these brownie bites along with some regular Hershey Kisses Chocolates and some Hugs because everyone likes a little variety.
Be sure to check out the links below to see what everyone else made up and also check back on December 16th when I show you what I made using Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. I promise you, it’s sooooo good!

Everything with Hershey Kisses is yummy and perfect!! I have never had candy cane Hershey Kisses before and boy when I popped one in my mouth, I WAS IN HEAVEN!! I kept the bag I bought for this recipe and got one more because I had to keep it for myself. 🙂
I used a mini muffin pan for these brownies. The first batch of brownies got little hard just because I baked them for over 25 minutes. So for the 2nd batch, I baked them for 20 minutes and came out perfect! I made these for goody bags for my co-workers and they totally loved it!

Well, I made these today and they were a complete failure. I made the mini sized & took them out after 30 minutes. They were WAY too overdone.

What type of flour…self rising or plain. Sorry to be a dummy
Joan Hayes says
It’s plain, all purpose flour.

Is the cooking time correct for the mini ones? 30 to 35 mins seems too long…recipe sounds heavenly…can’t wait to make them!
Nancy Schleter says
I agree that 20 minutes for mini brownies is perfect.

Hi Joan, first time writing, love, love your recipes, I`ve printed a ton of them for when I visit my sister for the holidays. Quick question, tho, what do you use for the cocoa powder? Is it the baking kind or like Hershey`s where you stir in the milk for a chocolate flavored drink? Would love someone to respond as leaving soon and would love to use this recipe. Thank you.
Joan Hayes says
I use Hershey’s unsweetened cocoa for baking.

Your ingredients list flour but your directions do not.. Am I missing something?
Joan Hayes says
The flour is added at the end of step 2.

Made these today for a baby shower tomorrow and I’m so annoyed I didn’t read all the comments first. I usually do. I made them in mini muffin tins and they are burnt to a crisp at the edges at 30 min. I kept checking them but still seemed gooey in the middle earlier. Ugh, should have trusted my gut and taken them out sooner. I would reconsider your timing for mini muffin pans.
