Hershey Kissed Brownie Bites-the perfect addition to any Holiday baking.
I’m so excited today! It’s the day! I’m starting to feel a little like Jonathan Lipnicki in the Stuart Little movie when he talks about today being the day. We may have watched that movie recently. But I’m still excited, and today is still the day!
I was thrilled to be invited to partner with several fellow bloggers, Hershey’s Kisses Chocolates and Reeses to bake some amazing holiday treats.
You know me. Bake with candy, um, yeah, I can do that. I already do. Um, I have to use Hershey’s Kisses Chocolates and Reese’s peanut Butter Cups? Um, apparently someone’s been peeking at my candy stash again. These are staples in my house, I stock up an all the varieties. I claim it’s for baking purposes but we all know the truth. I might be sitting here, typing this with a bowl of Mini Reese’s Cups right in front of me. (Just for inspirational purposes.) Yeah, let’s go with that, it helps my creative juices to flow better, having them in front of me.
I must have been creative last week when the bowl had the peppermint Hershey’s Kisses Chocolates in it. Have you tried those yet? OMG! I’m not a big candy cane eater. But don’t even think Candy Canes when you get your hands on those Kisses. Think, melt in your mouth peppermint white chocolate.
They might be just slightly addicting. And I might have had to hide them from my son so I’d have enough for this recipe. It was for his own good, really. Too many sweets, blah, blah, blah. Truth is, don’t mess with the chocolate Mama has decided is hers.
Yes, those peppermint Kisses became mine!
I did control myself enough to use some of them for these brownie bites along with some regular Hershey Kisses Chocolates and some Hugs because everyone likes a little variety.
Be sure to check out the links below to see what everyone else made up and also check back on December 16th when I show you what I made using Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. I promise you, it’s sooooo good!

These are perfect Joan! I love bite sized food and well I’m a sucker for Kisses!
These are so cute! And they include chocolate, peppermint, and brownies. Without even tasting them, I know that is one good bite right there! However, I want to taste them anyway…over and over and over. Yummy!
do you think it would be O K to use paper liners in the muffin tins???
Of course it would be fine to use paper liners.
This is a great way to use Hershey kisses!
Joan I love these!! My first plan with the Hershey’s was brownie bites with the peppermint kisses π
I am so excited that it is time to break out the Christmas baking! Definitely adding these to the list!
I’m totally with you – usually not a fan of peppermint but Candy Cane Kisses? Awesome! These are so cute Joan! Love that they are bite-sized – perfect for sharing! π
I almost did brownies with kisses too…great minds π I’m loving the small bite sized ones you did. Perfect for popping 2-3 at a time!!!
Hey, girl!! Perfect timing. I was sent home from work today with a plastic container full of Kisses, then I saw your recipe in my inbox. Guess what I’m making tonight π
These are super cute! I love the idea of using a brownie base vs a cookie one. Thanks for sharing π
The peppermint kisses are my favorite flavor, hands-down! Love these, Joan!
LOVE Hershey and love how cute these lil brownie bites are!
really amazing idea
These are so festive and fun! I want 1…actually I want about 3 or 4 π
How many regular sized muffins does this recipe make? I’d like to try it for a church progressive dinner but need to know if I should double or triple or _____. Please let me know via my email…thanks! They look great and festive!
For regular size Muffin tin, it will make 12-14. A progressive dinner sounds fun! Hope your guests enjoy it!
Just another quickie…the time to cook these seems long to me compared to muffins I make…so just double checking that. Thanks again…looking forward to making and serving them!
These would be gone as fast as I could make them! I bet they would be a hit at our Christmas dinner!
How many mini-muffins will this make?
It makes 30 mini Brownies. Enjoy!
Love these! They look so pretty on the plate. I baked mine as directed for the mini muffins and for my oven 35 minutes was just to long. I tried them again today and only baked them for 20 minutes and they were perfect. Love the idea and the recipe. So quick and easy.
Hi Joan! I’m getting ready to make these and I realized that I no longer have a mini muffin pan. I do have a regular muffin pan but was wondering if this recipe can be used to make a 13x9x2 pan of brownies. Would I need to double the recipe? Would the baking time need to be adjusted, etc? I thought it would be easier to bake a pan then cut the it into bite sized pieces with a Hershey’s Kiss in each square. Thanks for your help on this and keep these recipe’s coming!
You could make this recipe in a 9 x 13 pan, your brownies will be thin but I wouldn’t double it. I’d start checking your brownies with a toothpick at 20 minutes, then every 5 minutes until done.
Oh MY! I just made these…best tasting homemade brownies EVER, and the peppermint kiss in the top? wow! Wikll use this for my go-to brownie recipe from now on!!! I made a double batch, and with my size mini muffin tins, it made 72! Great for goodie plates for Christmas!
Everything with Hershey Kisses is yummy and perfect!! I have never had candy cane Hershey Kisses before and boy when I popped one in my mouth, I WAS IN HEAVEN!! I kept the bag I bought for this recipe and got one more because I had to keep it for myself. π
I used a mini muffin pan for these brownies. The first batch of brownies got little hard just because I baked them for over 25 minutes. So for the 2nd batch, I baked them for 20 minutes and came out perfect! I made these for goody bags for my co-workers and they totally loved it!
Well, I made these today and they were a complete failure. I made the mini sized & took them out after 30 minutes. They were WAY too overdone.
What type of flour…self rising or plain. Sorry to be a dummy
It’s plain, all purpose flour.
Is the cooking time correct for the mini ones? 30 to 35 mins seems too long…recipe sounds heavenly…can’t wait to make them!
I agree that 20 minutes for mini brownies is perfect.
Hi Joan, first time writing, love, love your recipes, I`ve printed a ton of them for when I visit my sister for the holidays. Quick question, tho, what do you use for the cocoa powder? Is it the baking kind or like Hershey`s where you stir in the milk for a chocolate flavored drink? Would love someone to respond as leaving soon and would love to use this recipe. Thank you.
I use Hershey’s unsweetened cocoa for baking.
Your ingredients list flour but your directions do not.. Am I missing something?
The flour is added at the end of step 2.
Made these today for a baby shower tomorrow and I’m so annoyed I didn’t read all the comments first. I usually do. I made them in mini muffin tins and they are burnt to a crisp at the edges at 30 min. I kept checking them but still seemed gooey in the middle earlier. Ugh, should have trusted my gut and taken them out sooner. I would reconsider your timing for mini muffin pans.
