Swiss Roll Mousse Cake combines memories of my childhood with what I love as an adult.
Growing up I loved Swiss Rolls. They were always a welcome treat in my lunchbox.
Now as an adult I still love them but I love chocolate mousse more.
This easy dessert combines both of these items into one sinful dessert.
If you can melt chocolate and cut swiss rolls then you can make this with no problem.
I love desserts that seem harder to make than they are.
Cut your swiss rolls into slices. I got six pieces out of each roll.
Line an 8×8 inch glass dish with the sliced rolls. You want to use glass so that you can appreciate the appearance of the rolls.
There will probably be some that won’t slice right but you can just eat those while you cook. Make sure you save a few to garnish with if you want to.
Next I made an easy chocolate mousse filling. Just melt chocolate chips with a little cream and then fold in whipped cream.
You will want to chill it in the refrigerator overnight or for at least 2 hours.
I had a hard time keeping my family out of it long enough for it to chill.
