Oreo Cookies and Cream Bundt Cake – a fun cake that’s easy to make!
Let me tell you right off the bat, this cake is not my idea. I created this recipe but I was totally inspired by this Oreo Cake from Amanda at I am Baker.
If you follow me on Facebook, I’m always sharing amazing creations from other bloggers. I was short on time the other day. I asked a few of my friends to give me a favorite treat to share.
I think Amanda’s figured out that I’m not a decorated cake maker. I love when she shares a “sloppy cake.” Something with the icing just sort of smeared on, not perfect, but still looks so incredible, I want to lick my computer screen. I could probably make a “pretty” cake if I took the time. I just never take the time. I love a cake I can decorate in 10 minutes or less. After all, it’s how a cake tastes in the end. The prettiest site of all is the empty cake plate in the sink, knowing every bite was enjoyed.
Amanda doesn’t only makes her cakes gorgeous on the outside. (She’s the creator of the original Rose Cake!) She’s also known for the cake itself! She goes beyond just a simple layer cake and she’ll create amazing surprises to find when you cut into the cake.
I’m so excited for her. She’s been working on this project for years. Putting together photo tutorials for her first book!

Easy peasy and absolutely fantabulous! Amanda is just about as awesome as they come and so freakin’ creative! That book looks like a must-have 🙂
Absolutely love this cake!! Oreos in the cake and on top!!! So messy and delicious. I love Amanda and her creative cakes. I learned so much about layer cakes from her. Can’t wait for her book either 🙂
I love how easy this is and that I don’t have to spend 1/2 my life decorating it! I too have no patience, or skillz, for that! This looks fantastic! And that book likes like a must buy!
It’s cold outside and I’m baking again this weekend. Looks like the perfect thing to add to the baking list!

Joan, this looks so delicious. I would be afraid of eating it all by myself though. Next potluck though, this will be on the list!
This is in the oven now!!! Kids loved smashing the oreos and breaking them up. can’t wait to try it!!!
This bundt cake is gorgeous! I also love the cake stand! Pinning
I made it tonight. It was so easy and really delicious! I didn’t have vanilla frosting, but I made a chocolate glaze out of butter, cocoa powder, vanilla, milk and confection sugar.
Your chocolate Oreo Bundt cake looks amazing. I could dig right in now and not stop til next Tuesday! If you have the time I would be honored to have you share this at the Wonderful Wednesday Blog Hop going on now. I would be sure to spread the love around and feature this beautiful cake on FB and Twitter as well. Blessings…Shari
