Creamy Fudgesicles-perfect for cooling off on a hot day, rich, creamy and from scratch!
It’s summertime! That means it’s all about cool treats around here. Popsicles have to be one of the easiest treats to make. Not to mention fun to eat.
I’ve kinda fallen in love with Popsicle Molds. I love the variety you can find. I pick them up everywhere. The dollar Store, Walmart, Target, the grocery store. I have a hard time walking by a mold and not putting it in the cart.
You can use the sticks that come with the molds, wooden popsicle sticks or even paper straws to dress up your popsicles. I lean towards the disposable sticks just so I don’t have to worry about the washable sticks not getting returned to the sink.
You all know what I’m talking about. Kids are having way to much fun playing outside to remember to bring the plastic sticks back inside. They just put it down somewhere in the yard and you never see it again until seconds before the lawnmower runs it over.
The other great thing about popsicles? You can make so many varieties, you never get tired of eating them. Just look around the kitchen, see what you have on hand. Juices make the best popsicles, or start with a box of instant pudding. You can add in fresh fruit, nuts, candy, marshmallows. Have fun with it.
These Creamy Fudgesicles have to be my favorite. Bringing back memories of chasing down the ice cream truck as a kid, I would always get a Fudgesicle or a Chocolate Eclair. I’m still working on a homemade chocolate eclair so until then, I just keep making these Fudgesicles!

If using wooden sticks or paper straws, you will need to let your popsicles freeze for about 1-2 hours before placing the sticks so they stay in place. Recipe source ChocolateChocolateandmore.comCreamy Fudgesicles

I used to love fudgesicles when I was a kid. Now that I don’t care for chocolate anymore, Dudette’s taken over what I’ve left behind though. I know she’d love these. And, just so you know, while I love all the various molds, my favorite is the one you have up there, with the wooden sticks. ๐
My grandparents ALWAYS had fudgecicles in the freezer during the summer. I can’t wait to make these today so my kids can enjoy them too.

Has anyone tried these with almond milk or skim yet? I know some recipes don’t work well if you aren’t using whole milk.
You like variety with your molds, well I only ever use small paper cups (dixie style) and then fill them up with all sorts of frozen treats. They just tear away when frozen and are ready to enjoy. You could also place a muffin paper over the handle (poke a hole and slide it on) to help with messy drips.
Anyone have suggestions for how tiger the fudgesicles out of the molds once they’re frozen? I’m having a hard time with them!
Making sure not to get the popsicles wet, you can hold the molds upside down under warm water for a few minutes.
