Nothing beats Baked Granola Apples on a cool Fall morning. These apples will make a perfect healthy breakfast for the whole family.
It’s apple season and I love it. There are so many options of things to make right now.
You can use any apples that you prefer for making this.
It couldn’t be simpler than this. I used prepackaged instant oatmeal so that the flavors are already there.
You can use any oatmeal that you prefer. I used Maple Brown Sugar oatmeal for the wonderful Fall flavors.
Add whatever else you like whether it’s raisins, cranberries, blueberries, or nuts.
Everyone in my family likes something different so I just mix up what they like.
Just core your favorite apples, slice them in half, mix one packet of oatmeal and two tablespoons of melted butter for each apple. Bake for twenty minutes covered and 15 minutes uncovered.
The juices in the bottom of the pan are so good. Just spoon them over each apple and it will be a very healthy breakfast or dessert.
Baking these apples made the house smell so good.
Baked Granola Apples
Ingredients
- 3 apples
- 3 instant oatmeal packets
- 6 tablespoons butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350F degrees.
- Core apples and slice them in half.
- Mix 3 packets of instant oatmeal with the melted butter.
- Place apples in a baking pan and fill with the oatmeal mixture.
- Cover and bake for 20 minutes then uncover and bake 15 more minutes.
Notes
You can use any apples and oatmeal flavor that you prefer.
