Creamy Fudgesicles-perfect for cooling off on a hot day, rich, creamy and from scratch!
It’s summertime! That means it’s all about cool treats around here. Popsicles have to be one of the easiest treats to make. Not to mention fun to eat.
I’ve kinda fallen in love with Popsicle Molds. I love the variety you can find. I pick them up everywhere. The dollar Store, Walmart, Target, the grocery store. I have a hard time walking by a mold and not putting it in the cart.
You can use the sticks that come with the molds, wooden popsicle sticks or even paper straws to dress up your popsicles. I lean towards the disposable sticks just so I don’t have to worry about the washable sticks not getting returned to the sink.
You all know what I’m talking about. Kids are having way to much fun playing outside to remember to bring the plastic sticks back inside. They just put it down somewhere in the yard and you never see it again until seconds before the lawnmower runs it over.
The other great thing about popsicles? You can make so many varieties, you never get tired of eating them. Just look around the kitchen, see what you have on hand. Juices make the best popsicles, or start with a box of instant pudding. You can add in fresh fruit, nuts, candy, marshmallows. Have fun with it.
These Creamy Fudgesicles have to be my favorite. Bringing back memories of chasing down the ice cream truck as a kid, I would always get a Fudgesicle or a Chocolate Eclair. I’m still working on a homemade chocolate eclair so until then, I just keep making these Fudgesicles!

Creamy Fudgesicles
Ingredients
- 2 cups milk or cream
- 2 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoon sugar
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- In microwave safe bowl, or a large measuring cup, heat milk on high until hot but not boiling, about 2 minutes.
- Remove from microwave and whisk in cocoa and sugar until completely blended.
- Pour milk mixture over chocolate chips and stir until chips are completely melted. Let mixture cool for 5 minutes then pour into popsicle molds. Place popsicle sticks in each compartment. Freeze until completely frozen. About 6-8 hours.
Notes
If using wooden sticks or paper straws, you will need to let your popsicles freeze for about 1-2 hours before placing the sticks so they stay in place.

It does not say how many popicles the creamy fudgesicle recipe makes.
Karen Aromatorio says
It will depend on the size of your mold. Ours made four but you might get more from a smaller mold.

These are amazing! Creamy and thick. I used cane sugar and only half a cup of dark chocolate chips and it was delicious.
