With the holidays quickly approaching, these 15 holiday pies are perfect to share with family and friends.
Hi there, it’s Hayley with a special holiday roundup!
When I think of the holidays, one of the first things that comes to mind (besides spending time with family) is pies. You may be more of a cake person than a pie person, but even if that’s the case, can you really say “no” to pie? Our dining room tables would just look empty without the presence of this beloved classic dessert during the holidays.
I’ll be the first to admit, even despite all the bakeries I’ve worked in and all the pies I’ve made, I still get frustrated with pie dough. I always seem to need to add more water than the recipe calls for, it’s a struggle to get the dough cohesive, and even after using pie weights, my crust still typically manages to shrink. Not to mention, I always make the biggest mess. It can be infuriating. But frozen pie crusts are just not the same, plus they have a lot of junk in them. So if you want to make a completely from-scratch pie for the holidays, and you’re like me, we’ve found an in illustrated pie dough making tutorial and foolproof recipe to help get you started. And gosh darn it, you’re going to get a tender, flaky pie crust, and everyone will be so impressed with you! Once you’ve figured out your dough, the rest is a breeze, and we’ve got 15 beautiful, delectable and festive pies that you’re going to want at your holiday table this fall and winter. From the usual pumpkin and apple suspects, to a special rosemary honey pie, to a black bottom eggnog pie (and two very essential chocolate pies), we’ve found a pie for everyone.

Thank you so much. Since I don’t drink coffee I totally skipped that post. I usually read the posts for the neat stories, even if I know it isn’t a recipe for me. Thank you, again. :>) MS
