1 Minute mug cake is a perfect portion for one person. It also makes a very easy homemade gift for giving at the holidays.
When my daughter was moving away to college I was looking for an easy way to send things that she could cook in the microwave.
The mix is incredibly easy to make and then it just takes one minute to cook. What could be easier?
You can leave it in a big container or portion it out for gifts or solo desserts.
I measured out how much was needed for one portion and then marked the baggies with lines to show her how much water to add.
Then she was able to just mix it in the bag and pour it into a mug. One minute in the microwave and it’s ready to go.
You can specialize the mix with pieces of your favorite candy too.
I added chocolate chips to some and pieces of peppermint bark to others. You can also chop up candy bars to add to the mix.
The cake will stick to the mug if you don’t spray it. If you don’t just want to eat it out of the mug then you can add a coffee filter to keep it from sticking to the mug.
The first picture was one that I did with spraying the mug. The next picture is with the coffee filter.
Get creative. Add candies and put the mix in a jar and give it as homemade gifts for the holidays.
