White Chocolate Chip Chocolate Cookies

Published June 15, 2012

White Chocolate Chip Chocolate Cookies – Chocolate cookie base with white chocolate chips for a smooth contrast.

So it’s bake sale day again. Grace’s first week was a success! Our community is always so supportive when ever kids are trying to raise money for a project or trip.

For week 2, we made a batch of the Chocolate Chip-Pecan Cookies but we like for everyone to have a choice.

Grace decided on some Chocolate cookies with White chocolate chips this time. I have to tell you, hubby loves white chocolate so these are a favorite of his.

White Chocolate Chip Chocolate Cookies
originally from Food Network

1 cup butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 Tablespoon Vanilla
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup cocoa powder
2 cups, 1 12 ounce bag white chocolate chips

Combine Flour, Salt, Baking soda and cocoa in a bowl, stir with a fork, just to blend.

Set to the side.
Cream butter and sugars together till smooth and creamy. Beat eggs slightly then add to butter mixture. Add in vanilla and yes it’s a whole Tablespoon not teaspoon.

Now slowly add your flour mixture, make sure the blender is on low or better yet off! And yes, maybe there is a little flour and cocoa powder layer of dust on my cabinet. Once all blended together and smooth, stir in chips.

Spoon dough onto cookie sheets and bake in a preheated 375 degree oven for 9-10 minutes. Let cool on cookie sheets for 5 minutes before removing to racks to cool completely.

These cookies are even more amazing, if that’s possible, with peanut butter chips!

I’m linking up to some of these great parties!

About Grace

When I was younger, I was constantly in the kitchen helping my mom bake. It was fun getting to play with the flour and always getting to lick the spoon. I’ve always expressed an interest in baking and now I feel that it’s the right time for me to take over. I am a college student working towards a nursing degree as well as a full-time aunt to the sweetest little kids (they might pop up in some of the posts). I’ve learned most of what I know about baking and cooking from my mom, and I am continuing to self-teach through trial and error, which means plenty of sweets to be eaten. Read more...
