Thursday’s treasures link party

Published February 28, 2013

It’s time for Thursday’s Treasures. I’m so glad you all came and linked up last week. I was sick as a dog and didn’t do any cooking or baking since last week’s party. I’m not sure what I had but it’s mostly gone now except for a cough. I probably lost 10 pounds from just not wanting to eat. I think the worst thing about being sick is having the hubby and the kids in the kitchen instead of me. I wanted them to eat but they just don’t clean up the way I would. I finally got in there today and scrubbed everything down, put things away where they needed to go, took inventory and I’ll be back in the kitchen tomorrow.

On the nice side, I was truly babied by everyone in the house. My youngest (10 years old) I think has a calling as a nurse. She enjoyed coming in and taking my temperature every 1/2 hour, getting me more water or juice, making sure I was covered up. Everyone pitched in so I could get the rest I must have needed since I spent most of the time asleep.

So lets get this party going. Here are the features from last week.

Roasted Garlic Potato Soup from Yesterfood
Strawberry Milkshake Cupcakes from Annie’s Noms
Chicken Pot Pie Soup from the Sunflower Supper Club
Banana Chobani Funky Monkey Smoothie from Cupcakes and Kale Chips
Chocolate Cherry Cookies from The Plaid and Paisley Kitchen
Leprechaun Bark from Couponing and Cooking
Cherry Chocolate Delight from Chatting over Chocolate
Classy Wire Hiding Spot from Believe and Inspire
If you were featured, be sure to grab a button on my side bar.

Pop over to Debi’s and Christie’s and see what they’ve featured this week.

You know how parties work, there are rules.
Link up a few of your favorite recipes and/or crafts, provide a link back somewhere on your post
or on your party page, If you don’t provide the link back, we can’t feature you.
Debi has even made us buttons, you can grab one off my sidebar.
Be sure to follow my blog, facebook, pinterest, twitter, e-mail or even Google +. Whatever is your favorite way to follow to stay up to date. Be sure to do the same for my co-hosts Debi and Christie, make sure they feel some love too.
By linking up to this party you are giving permission for us to use your photo on facebook, Google+ and other social media to promote Thursday’s Treasures and you, with proper link credit given. Please make sure all photos you link up are your own. Share as many recipes/crafts as you like just as long as you haven’t shared them here before. The party is open all week. Visit a few others and leave some kind words.

About Grace

When I was younger, I was constantly in the kitchen helping my mom bake. It was fun getting to play with the flour and always getting to lick the spoon. I’ve always expressed an interest in baking and now I feel that it’s the right time for me to take over. I am a college student working towards a nursing degree as well as a full-time aunt to the sweetest little kids (they might pop up in some of the posts). I’ve learned most of what I know about baking and cooking from my mom, and I am continuing to self-teach through trial and error, which means plenty of sweets to be eaten. Read more...

Glad you are feeling better Joan! It’s nice to be pampered every once in a while isn’t it? Of course it would be better if you didn’t have to be sick to get pampered huh? Thanks for hosting today Joan!
