The kids finally went back to school. It was the longest summer ever! And it was, school was delayed a month due to construction in all the schools. Now we’re getting used to the longest days ever. My oldest gets on the bus for High school at 5:50 in the morning! That means the house starts moving at 5:00am. My youngest, at the Elementary school, doesn’t get home till 4:30 in the afternoon. And all this is before they get involved in the after school activities. Needless to say, everyone is tired. Last night at 9pm I went around to tell the kids bedtime. I couldn’t find them. All 3 were already in bed, fast asleep. I enjoyed my quiet evening but I just couldn’t keep my eyes open much past 10pm. Now I’ve got the house to myself during the day, I can clean the house and it’ll stay clean for a few hours, I can play in the kitchen creating, catch up on my blog reading and visiting.
And the very best part-no Sponge Bob on the TV! I can just have my music playing and enjoy the peace and quiet.
Last week you all linked up so many wonderful recipes. Debi from Recipes for my Boys and I really enjoy seeing what you link up each week.

Thank you for hosting and the feature 🙂 I can’t imagine having school days that long. I think it would be a disservice to the kids – a regular school day is exhausting enough, let alone add more time! Enjoy your peace and quiet 😉
