Tear & Share Crescent Christmas Tree – So easy to make, so yummy, and so cute! And it didn’t last 10 minutes in my house!
Y’all, this Tear & Share Crescent Christmas Tree is perfect for Christmas eve or for Christmas morning breakfast!
I don’t know how everyone else does their Christmas, but my family’s is always evolving.
Every year, we do a variation of what we did the last year, but add something new to make it even better.
Like last year, we had our big Christmas celebration on Christmas eve, buffet style with mostly appetizers, then Christmas morning we open presents and eat monkey bread, then have the Christmas ham for lunch (which was supposed to actually be Christmas dinner).
Well this year, we’re going to actually have our Christmas dinner on Christmas eve, and in the morning, open presents and incorporate some of the dinner into the breakfast.
And I know you’re wondering how all this ties into this amazing Tear & Share Crescent Christmas Tree…
I’ve been searching for recipes that can be added to the breakfast table.
And this is perfect. It’s easy, fun, and delicious! I think the hardest part is rolling out the dough into same-sized rectangles.
Anywho’s, let’s get on with the recipe!
Tear & Share Crescent Christmas Tree
The ingredients you’ll need :
- 2 packs of crescent rolls
- 1 cup of nutella
- half a stick of butter (1/4 cup), melted
- 1/4 cup of sugar
- 2 teaspoons of cinnamon
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
On a floured surface, preferably parchment or wax paper, use a rolling pin to roll the dough of one of the cans of crescent rolls. The easiest way to do this is to place one half the the dough on top of the other. This ways it’s already in the square shape we need, it just needs to rolled flat into a rectangle.
Once you have a nice flat rectangle, spread the nutella all over the dough as evenly as possible.
Now on a separate sheet of wax/parchment paper, roll of the other can of crescent rolls. You want it to be as close in size and shape as you can get to the other dough.
Use the parchment paper to place the dough on top of the dough with the nutella on it.
Use a knife to cut the dough into a triangle, and then use a star shaped cookie cutter to cut a star out of the dough you just cut off.
Now use the knife to cut slits into both sides of the triangle, about an inch thick, all the way to the top, but leaving enough room for the star to sit on the top. Make sure to not cut the dough all the way off, leave room in the middle so the slits stay connected to the rest of the tree.
Once all the slits are cut, twist each one 1-2 times, and you can stretch them a little if needed, and place the star on the top of the tree.
Spread the melted butter all over the tree, the the cinnamon sugar mixture. Place in the oven and bake for 15-17 minutes, or until golden brown.
Once it comes out the oven, it’s ready to eat!
My family loved it, and ate it so fast I could barely get any pictures!
