Fried Dough

Published September 4, 2012

Fried Dough

I’ve talked about my friend Kim before. She blogs over at Cravings of a Lunatic. She is crazy in the best sort of way, the popcorn, chocolate, pizza loving way. My Cotton Candy Popcorn-I got that from Kim. Her Turtle popcorn is on my list to make as soon as the weather cools off a bit. I don’t think Kim has ever posted something I wouldn’t want to eat and that’s saying something since I’m a picky eater.

Well Kim is off getting her son settled In school. When she asked for guest bloggers, I jumped at the change to go play in her place. Since she’s a sugar loving, pizza loving kind of gal, I knew she’d appreciate this Fried Dough and you will too. It’s melt in your mouth good. Head on over to Kim’s to get the recipe. And while your there, check out some of her ice creams.

I’m linking up at a few of these great parties.

Post script: Joan passed away in her sleep on October 22, 2015. She went to bed feeling nauseous (which is one of the signs of heart attacks in women) and never woke up. Please learn the signs of heart attack in women (they are different than for men) and if you have high blood pressure or family history of heart disease, don’t brush off nausea as just the flu. Joan made it very clear that she wanted her work to continue in the event of her death so her family is working to keep Joan’s dream alive. In the days following her death, Joan’s fellow bloggers started a twitter campaign #ChocolateForJoan and #chocolateeverydamnday. We hope you’ll join us in honoring Joan’s memory by having chocolate every day.

About Grace

When I was younger, I was constantly in the kitchen helping my mom bake. It was fun getting to play with the flour and always getting to lick the spoon. I’ve always expressed an interest in baking and now I feel that it’s the right time for me to take over. I am a college student working towards a nursing degree as well as a full-time aunt to the sweetest little kids (they might pop up in some of the posts). I’ve learned most of what I know about baking and cooking from my mom, and I am continuing to self-teach through trial and error, which means plenty of sweets to be eaten. Read more...

You rock my world. I love this. I love you. And I’m sorry to take so freaking long to stop by. Long story. But the bottom line is I adore you and your…fried balls. xx
