Wow, it’s hard to believe another year is over already. Time flies by so fast. I want to take this moment to thank each and every one of you for stopping by and trying some of my favorite recipes. I love reading the comments and e-mails of what worked (and didn’t) for you, what changes you made to my recipes and how much your family and friends loved them. I hope they bring you as much joy as they do me and my family.
Nothing brings people together like a fresh baked treat. As I plan for 2015, I always look back on what you, the readers made popular. I still love baking on a whim but, these recipes give me a starting point for what you all want to see. Here’s The Best of 2014 chosen by you.
Mint Chocolate Chip Fudge-I can’t blame you one bit for loving this one. And if you can’t find the Mint extract, yes, go ahead and use peppermint extract. I’ll be making this for Valentines with the peppermint and a drop or two of red food coloring.
Old Fashioned Sugar Cake-So light and so simple. Cake doesn’t need a big dose of frosting to be yummy.
Dark Chocolate Cream Pie-yes it’s made with Cool Whip but you can easily substitute with real whip cream which many of you did.
The Ding Dong Cake. Everyone loves the snack cake so why wouldn’t you like a full size version. And it is just as tasty (I think even better) that it’s snack size name sake. Just make sure to have friends to share it with, it’s HUGE!
Homemade Peppermint Patties-these are so easy to make and we all love candy dipped in chocolate!
Chocolate Sugar Cookies-Cookies are always better when they’re chocolate!
Easy Chocolate Ice Cream-I can’t blame you for this one. This is some seriously good Ice Cream! Smooth and creamy. And with no machine needed, there’s no excuse not to make it!
Seven Layer Magic Bars-Magic Bars have to be the greatest recipe ever invented. As long as you have a good base and some sweetened condensed milk, you can’t go wrong with whatever you decide to put in between!
Easy Chocolate Fudge-we do like our candy, don’t we? Fudge is just the easiest candy out there and always appropriate any time of year.
And you all love a good round up.
40+ Chocolate Bark Recipes is #7 for the year when it’s only been around for 3 weeks. We do love some easy chocolate candy, don’t we?
I think you all love your bundt pans as much as I do because 50 Bundt Pan Recipes has been popular all year.
As we move on to 2015, and the next new chapter of my life (I’ll reveal more of that in the first few posts for the year) I loved this quote my friend Jocelyn of Grandbaby Cakes posted on Instagram and Facebook
I’ll still look back, but only to see how far I’ve come.
Here’s to a bright, healthy, happy, filled with love and friends, New Year to you all!

That old fashioned sugar cake has become one of our favorites! I found your recipe several months ago and whipped it up. Easy easy to make and fast, too! It’s a permanent favorite!
Thank you from my sweet-loving family!
