Understanding Twitter-What is Twitter?

Published September 29, 2012

Wow, there’s a statement. Understanding Twitter. I don’t have a clue how to use twitter as a blogger. I have an account. I can click on the button at the bottom of posts and tweet it, just like I pin posts to Pinterest. But to say I’m getting the most out of it, no way. Twitter is another Social Media available for bloggers to promote themselves.

Since I have no clue, I’ve asked my friend Carla (who is a twitter queen) to walk us through Twitter. Carla’s the one who told me about the little box at the bottom of most blog posts. I never even paid attention to that little box. So of course I had to try it out on Carla’s White Chocolate Candy Corn M&M Cookies.

here was my tweet-

But that’s about as much as I know so Carla, being awesome, is going to cover Twitter for us. In Part one (today’s post) she’s covering the basics, Just like Pinterest and Facebook, we need to start at the beginning. So head over to Chocolate Moosey and lets all start Tweeting together!

I’m linking up at some of these great parties!

About Grace

When I was younger, I was constantly in the kitchen helping my mom bake. It was fun getting to play with the flour and always getting to lick the spoon. I’ve always expressed an interest in baking and now I feel that it’s the right time for me to take over. I am a college student working towards a nursing degree as well as a full-time aunt to the sweetest little kids (they might pop up in some of the posts). I’ve learned most of what I know about baking and cooking from my mom, and I am continuing to self-teach through trial and error, which means plenty of sweets to be eaten. Read more...

How timely. Twitter is new to me, and if I can tear myself away from Pinterest, I might tweet more.

I just read it and it was really interesting. Carla’s a great teacher and I need these lessons so I’ll be staying tuned for the continuation. Thanks for inviting her!

I’ve yet to set up an account on Twitter though I keep hearing I need to for my blog, so I look forward to these posts.

Thanks Joan! I went over and read – learned a lot!I’m glad she’s doing a series because sometimes it takes a little time for me to process large amounts of new information – and this will give me a chance not only to process, but to practice! I love all your learning posts!

I Tweet here and there, but I’m not very “good” at it. Learned a lot from the post. Thanks for sharing.
