About Grace

When I was younger, I was constantly in the kitchen helping my mom bake. It was fun getting to play with the flour and always getting to lick the spoon. Iโ€™ve always expressed an interest in baking and now I feel that itโ€™s the right time for me to take over. I am a college student working towards a nursing degree as well as a full-time aunt to the sweetest little kids (they might pop up in some of the posts). Iโ€™ve learned most of what I know about baking and cooking from my mom, and I am continuing to self-teach through trial and error, which means plenty of sweets to be eaten. Read more...

The first thing I would make if I won this .. meringues. So tasty, and so much easier in a proper mixer.

I’ve been collecting lots of recipes on Pinterest, so I’d probably go wild making them. I recently found out I am gluten sensitive, so I have gone gluten free to protect myself from more damage. To make matters more complicated I have a condition called gastroparesis, which basically means my stomach doesn’t empty properly (and some times it refuses to at all and causes me to get sick). One of the ways I deal with this is to eat ground or pureed foods. Problem is, now I have to cook a whole lot more because store bought foods just don’t cater to both conditions very well. I’ve been dreaming of having a Kitchen-aid to help me be able to prepare healthy meals for both me and my family.
