Since my move to WordPress, I’ve had to do a lot of updating on posts. Behind the scenes tech stuff. Boring! But while updating older posts, I’ve also had to look at the photos. I won’t say I’m a fabulous photographer but my skills have definitely improved since I started out taking photos on my cell phone.
Some photos just needed a little re-editing, what a big difference cropping can make.

It’s always good to look back and see how you’ve improved your skills, and also remember some of the amazing recipes you need to make again, just because they were so good the first time!

Great minds think alike! I have redone and updated several post pictures over the last few weeks myself. In fact, I will be doing it today as well. Great job – I can’t believe you could make that chocolate chocolate cake look any better but you did!

Thanks Kelli, there are still some horrible photos out there that I hope no one finds until I get those updated, lol

I love that you shared about cropping. My blog is only a few months old but I go back through old posts and cringe. I’ll definitely see if I can crop some of them. Thanks! I love seeing how much you’ve improved your pictures!

Thanks Faith. Cropping and adding text to cover up a blemish or fill in a blank spot has really made a difference. I’ve also been reducing the photo sizes which has been helping to improve load time.
