$1000 Amazon Gift Card Giveaway!
Happy New Year! I know, we’re already 10 days in but it’s never too late for good wishes.
It’s also never too late to shop! I know we just had Christmas and Hanukkah but if you’re like me, you had more fun giving than receiving. Don’t get me wrong. My family is always wonderful to me but there are still things on my “wish list.” Things that I just can’t justify spending my earned money on. But money I won in a giveaway? I’d be all about getting that Immersion Blender, and the super-sized food processor, and a few of the cookbooks I’ve been wanting…heck, with a $1000 to spend on Amazon, I’d probably have to create a whole new wish list to try and spend it all.

I would use the $1000 Amazon Gift Card to replace all the things that were stolen from me last April, when my house was burglarized while I was in the nursing home after a serious illness. My insurance policy, unbeknownst to me, covered depreciated value, not full replacement value, of the stolen items.

How wonderful of you to do this! I would use the money to adapt my appliances and kitchen so that I could cook more easily. The way I am aging has come as a complete surprise to me…I didn’t realize the limitations that were coming. I can’t just give up cooking and baking!! 🙂 so……fingers crossed.

I would use the money to buy an alto saxophone and a stereo because my ex had destroyed my last saxophone. My daughter just passed two weeks ago and I have been yearning to play the sax because it relaxes me and heals me. This is the second daughter I have lost suddenly in the past nine years, my oldest and youngest, and i was fortunate to have a healthy baby boy on my 45th birthday (he is now 3) and he has never heard me play the sax, and both of us are in mourning, he keep saying he miss his big sister, she’s asleep, and it breaks my heart all over again.
