I’m Joan and my goal for this blog is to let you come along for my baking adventures. I’ll share my favorite, tried and true, recipes along with some new discoveries. I hope you get a few ideas from me and, if you have great recipes to share, I’ll get a few from you, too!
I live in a small town in Georgia where kids still say ‘yes ma’am and ‘no sir’ and the food is mostly cooked from scratch. I’m lucky enough to be mom to CJ, Cassie and Grace which means that, in addition to cooking, I also work as a taxi service, homework checker, laundry doer, housecleaner and gardener. Although, to be honest I try to avoid those last two as much as possible.
I believe that chocolate makes everything better, that the smell of something baking in the kitchen can completely lift your mood and that strong family values are built around the dinner table. We eat together, we talk and I usually have one or more of the kids in the kitchen with me while I’m baking up some yummy creations. I hope you enjoy it here, look around and stay awhile.
