Need something cold and refreshing on one of these hot summer days? This 2-Ingredient Watermelon Lemonade will do the trick!
This week has been pretty hot here in Georgia, so of course, I needed something to keep me and the family cool while doing outside activities like cutting the grass. Okay, while my sweet boyfriend cuts the grass and I watch lovingly.
And I’m not sure if my mom put this in one of her posts, but I am most definitely not a picky eater, especially when it comes to fruits and veggies. I would rather eat fruits and veggies rather than anything else, so this yummy Watermelon Lemonade was made for me.
Also, it was not my intention to post a rather healthy treat on a primarily unhealthy dessert blog, but this Watermelon Lemonade was just too good not to post.
2-Ingredient Watermelon Lemonade
Alright, here’s how to make it:
First, get your blender.
All you need is a watermelon and 5-7 lemons. Basically, the bigger the watermelon, the more lemons you’ll need. Or if you want really lemony lemonade, use more lemons. I like mine lemony but my watermelon was pretty small, so I used six lemons.
And if you’d prefer not to use mess with actual lemons, you can use the fresh lemon juice from the bottle.
Now, spoon the watermelon into the blender. Add your lemon juice in. To get the lemon juice out of the lemons easier, roll it on the counter before cutting it in half, then squeeze it cut side up so the seeds don’t fall in.
Although, it’s okay if a seed or too falls in because we’re gonna strain it.
So, once the lemon juice and watermelon are all blended up, use a strainer and strain the Watermelon Lemonade into a separate bowl.
If needed, strain another time to get all the pulp out.
Add 1/2 cup – 1 cup of water to the lemonade to water it down a bit.
Then pour it in a fancy cup, garnish with a slice of melon or lemon and you have just made the best 2-Ingredient Watermelon Lemonade.
